Today I was meeting with a San Diego wedding coordinator and I got to our meeting point a little early so I decided to grab a cup of coffee at the Corner Cafe and Bakery while I waited. I walk up to the counter to a friendly looking woman who greets me with a smile. “I’ll just have a cup of coffee,” I say. She pulls out a cup, sets it in front of me and says “It’s on me.” “What?” I ask, thinking I must have heard her wrong. “It’s on me,” she repeats and smiles broadly. As I walk towards the coffee dispensers I hear her manager say “Good for you, Kaley, making someone’s day like that.”
And you know, it did make my day. Such a little thing, such a big impact. Discuss. :)
