AjA uses participatory photography methods to help recent refugee kids (middle- and high-schoolers) explore their experiences and feelings regarding leaving their home and coming to the United States. Participatory photography is based on the idea of teaching people photography so they can create images to tell their own story, rather than having someone take their image and tell their story for them. And I am SOOOOO excited about this. Like, SO excited. Beyond excited. Elated. Seriously. Elated. Can you tell I’m excited? Seriously.

So that I can give more focus to this really exciting project, I’ll be reducing the number of Tuesday Tidbits from once a week to every other week. A Tuesday Tidbit furlough, if you will. :)

Never fear, you’ll still get your tidbits. Just not as frequently. But absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?
